The Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, UNIMAS proudly congratulates six Year 2 medical students for their outstanding participation in the XI Annual International Anatomical Art Competition IMAGO ANATOMICA VESALIUS – 2026 held in Moscow.
Their submissions were far more than artistic drawings – they were remarkable creative works accompanied by thoughtful synopses, reflecting deep understanding, appreciation, and interpretation of human anatomy through the lens of art and medicine.
A small award-giving ceremony was recently held to present the certificates and gifts to all participating students in recognition of their dedication, creativity, and international representation of the faculty and UNIMAS. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Dean of Academic and Internationalisation of FMHS, Prof Dr Nariman Singmamae, together with Prof. Dr. Marina Kapitonova, the faculty’s Professor in Anatomy.
Special congratulations to Shranya A/P Durasamy for achieving Second Prize in the category of “Anatomy Without Borders” with her exceptional work entitled “A Visual Autopsy of Modern Diseases”.
Congratulations as well to Jane Lee Min Yee, Loh Yee Xuan, Low Yi Qi, Quah En Yao, and Keerthika Gobalakrishnan, for their participation in this competition.
The faculty is immensely proud of all participating students for showcasing excellence, creativity, and passion beyond the classroom, while bringing honour to UNIMAS on the international stage.
Congratulations once again to the students on this inspiring achievement!
