In conjunction with the Holy Month of Ramadhan, a group of 20 postgraduate students from the Animal Resource Science and Management (ARSM) programme of the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology (FRST, UNIMAS) and the Institute of Biodiversity and Environmental Conservation (IBEC) under the guidance of Dr. Madinah Adrus organized and successfully carried out the Bubur Lambuk Program 2024 on 21st March 2024 at Level G of the Faculty of Science and Technology Resources courtyard.

Running under the theme of “Raikan Kasih, Ikhlas Ramadhan”, the Bubur Lambok Programme was also supported by nearly 30 students from Year 1 to Year 3 of the ARSM programme, as well as by other ARSM and IBEC staff members. Through the collaborative efforts of the students and staff, a total of 900 servings of bubur lambuk, which included bubur kacang, were successfully distributed to the public.

According to Dr. Madinah, the primary objective of this programme was to strengthen the bonds of fellowship among the students, both undergraduates and postgraduates, along with the lecturers and support staff, following the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr Madinah further emphasized that this event is an annual tradition within the ARSM community, spanning over a decade of continuous practice.
