Kuala Lumpur, 22nd January 2024 – In a significant step towards fostering international collaboration in education, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and Lemery College, Philippines, proudly announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The momentous ceremony commenced on 22nd of January 2024 at the UNIMAS Kuala Lumpur Learning Centre in Subang Jaya.


This collaboration marks an important milestone, encompassing a range of initiatives to strengthen
ties between the two institutions. The key areas of cooperation include student mobility programmes, research collaborations, micro-credential programmes, and staff development programmes. Prof. Dr Hj Ahmad Hata bin Rasit, Vice-Chancellor of UNIMAS, expresses optimism about the collaboration, emphasising that the MoU should not merely be a symbolic gesture but a catalyst for tangible actions. The Vice-Chancellor envisions proactive follow-ups leading to a comprehensive Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), ensuring mutual benefits and sustained growth for both institutions.


UNIMAS and Lemery College look forward to a fruitful and enduring collaboration that will contribute significantly to the academic landscape of both Malaysia and the Philippines. The Vice Chancellor also expresses sincere appreciation to the UNIMAS Kuala Lumpur Learning Centre for their instrumental role in facilitating and supporting this collaboration.
