Faculty of Engineering — On 21st January 2026, the Faculty of Engineering successfully conducted a three-hour academic and experiential session for a group of 18 mobility students from Jiangsu Normal University Kewen College, China, accompanied by two of their lecturers.
The program, held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the STEM Room of Faculty of Engineering, focused on green supply chain and sustainable manufacturing practices, combining interactive lectures, laboratory demonstrations, and a facility tour to enrich participants’ understanding of contemporary engineering applications.
During the session, participants were presented with short lectures divided into two key parts, covering essential concepts and industry trends in green supply chain management and manufacturing technologies. Following the academic segment, students were guided on a tour of the faculty’s laboratories, where they observed real-world applications and facility operations. The highlight of the visit was a live demonstration of 3D printing technology in the Control Laboratory, showcasing additive manufacturing processes and their relevance to sustainable production. The session was assisted by assistant engineer, Mr Mohammad Rhyier Juen.
The session was led by Dr. Mohd Affifudin, with valuable assistance from Dr. Norlida and Dr. Aaron, all representing the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering. Their expertise and engagement with the students fostered an interactive learning environment throughout the program.
This initiative reflects UNIMAS’s commitment to academic collaboration and knowledge exchange with international partner institutions, providing participants with meaningful exposure to cutting-edge engineering practices and strengthening global academic ties.
