On February 22, 2025, a group of Year 3 medical students from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, led by Elden Owen Angih anak Jemang, conducted a Health Promotion activity at Rumah Panjang Luat in Kemuyang. This initiative was part of their Community Medicine and Public Health Posting (Rotation 2, 2024/2025). The students were supervised by Dr. Rosalia Saimon, AP Dr. Sam Froze anak Jiee, and AP Dr. Azizah binti Azhar.
The primary aim of the event was to promote preventive practices against dengue fever among the residents of Rumah Panjang Luat, Kemuyang. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Tuai Rumah Luat anak Jarit and all the residents of Rumah Panjang Jarit for their warm hospitality.
Additionally, we extend our special thanks to the officers from the following organisations for their invaluable contributions to the success of this event: Sibu Jaya Health Clinic, the Vector Borne Control Section of the Sibu Divisional Health Office, Jalan Lanang and Sibu Jaya Dental Clinic of the Sibu Divisional Dental Office.
