The Institute of Social Informatics and Technological Innovations (ISITI) at UNIMAS welcomed Dr. Ramesh Perumal, an esteemed Computer Vision Engineer from Intel Microelectronics (M) Sdn. Bhd. in Penang, Malaysia, serving as a member of the Industrial Advisory Panel (IAP). Dr. Perumal’s visit aimed to evaluate the Postgraduate Program for Master’s and PhD degrees by research.
During his assessment, Dr. Perumal thoroughly reviewed various aspects including Program Development and Delivery, Assessment of Student Learning, Student Selection and Support Services, Academic Staff, Educational Resources, Program Management, and Program Monitoring, Review, and Continual Quality Improvement.
Upon concluding his visit, Dr. Perumal expressed satisfaction with the ISITI Postgraduate Program and commended its contributions to rural communities. Furthermore, he recommended that ISITI explore collaboration opportunities with Intel for rural community projects, highlighting the potential for impactful partnerships in this domain.
