
Kota Samarahan, 31 October 2025 — The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), held its annual Postgraduate Robing Ceremony and High Tea on Friday at the Student Atrium to recognize the achievements of postgraduate students.
The event began at 10.00 a.m. with the arrival of the Dean, guests, supervisors, and faculty members. The morning was filled with pride and joy as students wore their academic robes in front of their lecturers and peers.

The Dean, Professor Dr. Asri bin Said, together with program coordinators, officially welcomed the attendees. The ceremony continued with the singing of Negaraku, Sarawak Ibu Pertiwiku, and UNIMAS Gemilang, followed by a prayer to mark the start of the event. Professor Dr. Asri also shared a few words of encouragement and appreciation with the graduates.
During the robing session, postgraduate students were formally dressed in their academic gowns by their supervisors, a symbolic moment marking their progress towards graduation. The atrium was filled with applause and cheerful exchanges as graduates celebrated with their mentors, lecturers, and classmates.

A group photo session followed, capturing the spirit of teamwork and perseverance among the postgraduate community. The event concluded with a High Tea reception, offering a warm and relaxed atmosphere for graduates and faculty members to connect and celebrate together.
The ceremony was more than a formal tradition. It was a celebration of dedication, resilience, and the strong sense of family that defines the UNIMAS postgraduate community.
