Kota Samarahan, 18 October 2025 – What began as a small fitness event with a target of 100 participants turned into a lively morning gathering of 311 people at the UNIMAS Stadium for Pinktober Dance Fitness 2025.

Organised by the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) and powered by the Postgraduate Medical Education (PGMed) team, the event was held in conjunction with Hari Sukan Negara to promote health and raise awareness about breast cancer.

The morning started early at 6.00 a.m., with participants arriving in their Pinktober T-shirts, which were distributed the day before along with event freebies sponsored by Beras Haryana, SugarBomb (car perfumes), and Goodday (chocolate milk).

The 80-minute session featured Zumba®, led by Zin Eugene, Zin Sharon, and Zin Carole, followed by Aerodance, led by Saief Aiman and his team, who kept the energy high throughout the workout. Participants also enjoyed refreshments from Yakult, keeping everyone refreshed and energised.

After the workout, participants took part in lucky draws, which included HABIB gold items and electrical goods sponsored by Courts. The registration fee was set at RM20 for the public and RM10 for UNIMAS students, making the event both affordable and inclusive.

Organisers shared that the strong response reflected the community’s growing awareness of the importance of staying active and supporting health campaigns. “It’s inspiring to see so many people come together for fitness and a meaningful cause,” said one committee member.

By the end of the morning, participants left with smiles, prizes, and a shared reminder that health awareness begins with simple actions — staying active and supporting one another.
