Bandung, Indonesia, 2nd August 2026 – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), had the opportunity to have a courtesy visit to the School of Business and Management, Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM ITB) as part of its international academic engagement in Indonesia
UNIMAS delegations were represented by:
- Professor Dr. Dayang Affizzah binti Awang Marikan, Dean
- Dr. Mohd Khairul Hisyam bin Hassan, Deputy Dean (Academic and International)
- Associate Professor Dr. Rosita binti Hamdan, Deputy Dean (Postgraduate)
- Dr. Janifer anak Lunyai, Deputy Dean (Student Affairs and Alumni)
- Associate Professor Dr. Jumadil Saputra Aswin Ibrahim, Programme Coordinator (Postgraduate)
- Dr. Nur Constance Wah (Advisor of Society in Corporate Management)
- Dr. Siti Aisyah binti Ya’kob (Doctoral Business Administration Assistant Porgramme Coordinator)
During the visit, the FEB UNIMAS delegation was warmly welcomed and given a tour of SBM ITB’s facilities, including the Dean’s Office, faculty management offices, staff areas and lounge. The visit provided an opportunity to learn more about SBM ITB’s academic environment, facilities and working culture.

The programme continued with a welcoming session for participants of the Sustainable Tourism Short Programme. A total of 88 students from UNIMAS participated alongside students from other Malaysian universities, including Universiti Malaya (UM), Multimedia University (MMU), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and INCEIF University.


The Dean of SBM ITB, Professor Dr. Aurik Gustomo delivered welcoming remarks to the Malaysian delegates, expressing appreciation for their participation. It then followed by a welcoming remark from the Dean of Feb UNIMAS, Professor Dayang Affizzah Awang Marikan highlighting the importance of international academic engagement, student mobility and cross-cultural learning. The FEB UNIMAS lecturer delegates also had the opportunity to tour the ITB campus, visiting and viewing various faculties while experiencing the university’s unique academic atmosphere and green natural surroundings.

The visit provided FEB UNIMAS lecturers and students with valuable international exposure beyond the classroom. Through interaction with students from different universities and exposure to the SBM ITB learning environment, the programme strengthened academic networking, cultural exchange and regional collaboration in sustainable tourism. The engagement reflects FEB UNIMAS’ continued commitment to providing meaningful international learning experiences and strengthening academic partnerships with leading institutions in the region.
