
Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), recently welcomed 16 students from Jiangsu Normal University Kewen College, China, who participated in the UNIMAS International Student Mobility Programme from 16 to 22 July 2026.
As part of the programme, the visiting students attended a series of academic classes designed to provide insights into key areas of the digital economy and information technology.
The sessions included Understanding Digital Systems and Ecosystems by Prof. Dr. Johari Abdullah, Cybersecurity and Digital Risk Management by Assoc. Prof. Dr Chiew Kang Leng, and Digital Platforms, E-Commerce and the Digital Economy by Dr. Mohammad Hossin.

Each 2.5-hour class incorporated icebreaking activities, lectures, group discussions, and student presentations.
The sessions aimed to help students understand digital technology ecosystems, common cybersecurity threats, and platform-based business models.
The engaging and interactive learning approach provided a meaningful and impactful experience for the international mobility students, who actively participated and enjoyed the activities.
FCSIT extends its appreciation to the laboratory technicians for preparing the computer lab and to Dr Jaya Laxshmi for providing translation support throughout the classes.
The programme was coordinated by Ts. Dr Lim Phei Chin, appointed as FCSIT Mobility Program Coordinator (China).
