Year 3 students from the Industrial Relations and Employment Programme (IREP) organised the Smart Financial Management and EPF Products Talk Programme 2026 in conjunction with the Occupational Safety and Health Awareness Week 2026 at Multimedia Room 1 (BMM 1), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak.
The programme was attended by 57 IREP students and featured an insightful sharing session by Encik Ronney Khairuddin, Head of the Relation Advisory Section. Participants gained valuable knowledge on Employees Provident Fund (EPF) products and services, budgeting strategies, compound dividends, emergency savings, self-contribution schemes, and retirement planning. The session also highlighted the importance of developing sound financial habits and achieving long-term financial security.
Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, the programme enhanced students’ financial literacy and equipped them with practical knowledge to make informed financial decisions, thereby supporting their future career readiness and economic well-being.
