Themed “Healthy Hearts, Happy Lives,” the run aimed to promote cardiovascular health, encourage active lifestyles and strengthen community engagement. This year’s event saw strong multigenerational participation, with runners ranging from young teenagers to older adults. In the 7 km category, participants included youths as young as 12 years old and an 80-year-old runner, demonstrating the wide appeal of the event. Meanwhile, the other categories saw an even broader mix of young children running alongside their parents, making the event a family-centred activity that brought different age groups together in support of healthier living.

Participants began arriving as early as 6.00 am, joining a warm-up Zumba session before the races started. The 7 km flag-off took place at 6.30 am, followed by the 5 km category at 6.45 am.

Guest of Honour YB Datuk Hamzah Bin Brahim, Assemblyman (ADUN) for Stakan, officiated the 3 km flag-off at 7.00 am and later presented prizes to the top finishers of the 7 km category.

The event concluded with refreshments and lucky draw sessions, bringing together runners, volunteers, and supporters in a shared celebration of health and community spirit.

The Strong Heart Red Run 2025 reflects UNIMAS’s continued commitment to promoting public health awareness and creating a supportive environment for healthy living.
