
On Sunday, 29 March 2026, the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), held a lively alumni engagement session at Secret Garden by Zeekri, Baghdad Street, Singapore. Set in the festive Aidilfitri mood, the event saw alumni donning their traditional Raya attire, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.
The session featured the official appointment of Alumni Ambassadors, Mr. Norisham Norzan and Ms. Christine Josos, to strengthen connections between the Faculty and its alumni. During the gathering, Dr. Mohammed Rasheedan Ellin, Faculty Chairperson for the 4th International Nursing Students’ Conference (INSC 2026), promoted the upcoming conference and offered a special discounted registration fee for participating alumni.
The engagement session aimed to strengthen ties with the international alumni network, provide updates on faculty initiatives and programs, encourage alumni participation in professional and academic activities, and celebrate the sense of community among alumni abroad.
The Faculty was represented by Prof. Dr. Asri Said (Dean), Prof. Dr. Nariman Singmamae (Deputy Dean Academic & International), Mdm Dayang Zuraina Abang Haji Kashim (Head of Nursing Department), Dr. Mohammed Rasheedan Ellin, Mr. Md Fadlisham Samsuddin (Program Coordinator), and Mdm Suhazalita Hamzah (Personal Assistant to the Dean).
The session was a resounding success, marked by lively interactions, memorable Raya celebrations, and the warm reunion of alumni in Singapore, and it reflects the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to nurturing meaningful relationships with its alumni community worldwide.
