The Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) marked the beginning of 2026 with a successful collaborative academic talk titled “Cash Flow Insights”, conducted on 9 January 2026 via Google Meet. The programme was organised in collaboration with the Accounting Department of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Cawangan Melaka, Kampus Alor Gajah. The talk involved 207 students from the FAR210 and FAR460 courses from UiTM, as well as EBA2023 and EBA3043 from UNIMAS.

The session was delivered by Dr. Nazaria Md. Aris, an accounting lecturer from FEB UNIMAS, and focused on strengthening students’ understanding of the Statement of Cash Flows. Key areas discussed included operating, investing, and financing activities, the importance of cash flow in assessing liquidity and solvency, and the relationship between profit and cash flow. Practical examples and real-world illustrations were incorporated to enhance students’ comprehension and engagement throughout the session.

Feedback from participating UiTM students indicated a high level of satisfaction. The majority viewed the overall quality and usefulness of the programme as highly beneficial, informative, and aligned with their learning needs. Students also commented positively on the organisation and delivery of the session, describing it as “good” and “perfect.”
