13 March 2024 – Kota Samarahan, Sarawak – Qadim Hub, in collaboration with the University Sustainability Centre at UNIMAS, is pleased to announce the successful hosting of the Book Writing Workshop. The workshop took place on 13th March 2024 at the Qadim Hub, University Sustainability Centre (USC), UNIMAS.
The workshop, led by Prof. Dr. Fitri Suraya Mohamad Hapni Joblie, Deputy Director of Institute of Borneo Studies (IPB), UNIMAS, served as a pivotal platform for 13 authors contributing to Qadim Hub’s upcoming book project. The participating authors were provided with valuable insights and guidance on various aspects of the book writing process.
The workshop activities included book proposal briefing, community research experience mapping, content brainstorming and draft writing.
The workshop fostered an environment of collaboration, learning, and creativity, empowering authors to effectively contribute to the collective narrative of participatory research and sustainable development in Sarawak.

Prof. Dr Rafeah Wahi, Qadim Hub Coordinator commented, “It was truly inspiring to see the enthusiasm and dedication of the chapter authors in exploring the transformative potential of participatory research.
