A total of twenty-four student leaders from the Faculty of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development Student Association participated in a three-day leadership and team-building programme, Project: Radiate PMFSKPM 2025, held from 5 to 7 December 2025 at Borneo Tribal Village (BTV).

Organised for members of the Persatuan Mahasiswa Fakulti Sains Kognitif dan Pembangunan Manusia (PMFSKPM), the leadership camp was designed to strengthen teamwork, enhance communication, and build trust among students actively involved in faculty-level leadership and student initiatives. The natural and serene surroundings of BTV provided a conducive environment for cultivating collaboration, resilience, and leadership confidence.

Throughout the programme, participants engaged in a structured team-building framework developed by the organising committee and facilitators. Each activity was intentionally crafted to reinforce group cohesion, stimulate problem-solving skills, and encourage members to assume both supportive and leadership roles within the association.

The programme commenced with interactive icebreaking sessions that promoted engagement and rapport-building among members. This was followed by a Halatuju HEPA sharing session, which provided guidance on student welfare matters and future planning aligned with the faculty’s broader vision for student development.

A series of team-based challenges, including tower-building exercises, outdoor coordination tasks, and problem-solving activities, formed the core of the camp experience. These activities tested participants’ creativity, strategic thinking, and teamwork under challenging conditions. Members demonstrated strong cooperation and mutual support as they worked collectively to complete each task. Communal responsibilities such as meal preparation and cooking further reinforced a sense of unity, shared responsibility, and closer interpersonal relationships within the association.

A key component of the programme was the reflection session, during which participants shared insights and lessons gained from the activities. Emphasising empathy, emotional awareness, and self-reflection, the session served as an important platform for strengthening mutual understanding and reinforcing team values within PMFSKPM.

In highlighting the importance of leadership development and teamwork, PMFSKPM Advisor and Deputy Dean of Student Affairs and Alumni, Mohd Hafizan bin Hashim, shared an encouraging message with participants, reminding them of the trust placed in their abilities and the importance of continuous growth in the face of challenges.

To complement the structured activities, participants also took part in a BBQ and Movie Night, which provided a relaxed setting for informal interaction, allowing members to bond on a more personal level. This balance between structured learning and social engagement contributed to a meaningful and well-rounded camp experience.

By the final day, Project: Radiate PMFSKPM 2025 successfully achieved its objectives of fostering internal unity, enhancing communication, and cultivating a resilient and cooperative leadership team prepared to continue serving the faculty’s student community.

The programme reflects PMFSKPM’s ongoing commitment to developing proactive, service-oriented student leaders and strengthening organisational cohesion within the Faculty of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development.
