Kota Samarahan, 15 November 2025 — The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), proudly hosted a two-day international mobility visit by distinguished lecturers from BINUS University, Indonesia, on 12 and 13 November 2025. The visit marked an important step in strengthening academic cooperation, knowledge sharing, and cross-border learning experiences between the two institutions.

Day 1: Engagement with TEKUN Nasional & Pustaka Negeri Sarawak

The mobility programme began on 12 November 2025, led by Dr. Nur Zaimah binti Ubaidillah, Deputy Dean of Industry and Community Engagement, Faculty of Economics and Business, UNIMAS. She was accompanied by a group of postgraduate students as they welcomed the visiting lecturers from BINUS University.

The first stop was TEKUN Nasional Sarawak, an agency committed to supporting and empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). During the engagement session, TEKUN representatives shared valuable insights into Malaysia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, financing schemes, and efforts to uplift micro and small business operators particularly in rural communities. The dialogue fostered meaningful knowledge sharing on SME challenges, growth opportunities, and potential collaborative research ideas.

The delegation later visited the Sarawak State Library (Pustaka Negeri Sarawak), where guests from BINUS University were introduced to the library’s extensive digital resources, knowledge management systems, and community development programmes. The visit provided a deeper understanding of Pustaka’s role in promoting information access and lifelong learning across the state.

Day 2: Global Classroom & Academic Exchange at UNIMAS

On 13 November 2025, the BINUS University delegation visited the Faculty of Economics and Business, UNIMAS, for a benchmarking with the member of Faculty of Economics and Business and series of academic engagements.

A major highlight was the Global Classroom Session, where lecturers from BINUS University delivered academic sharing sessions related to their areas of expertise. Strengthening Regional Academic Collaboration

The two-day mobility programme concluded with positive reflections and strengthened ties between the institutions. FEB UNIMAS expressed its appreciation for the visit and the productive exchanges that took place.
