Kem Digital Semarak was successfully held at INFRA, Samarahan Cawangan Sarawak from 26 to 28 November 2025, as a flagship program under Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri Sarawak, with PPD Samarahan appointed as the main organizer. The camp brought together participants from PPD Serian, PPD Lundu, PPD Kuching, PPD Bau, PPD Padawan, and PPD Simunjan, creating a vibrant and diverse learning environment. Participants consisted of students from Vocational Colleges, Public Universities, IPG, and Form Six (Semester 1 & 2).

The Kem was officiated by Tuan Haji Zamzaitul Akmal Hisham Bin Ahmad, Deputy Director of the Student Development Sector, JPNS, together with Tuan Haji Shibini Bin Haji Saini, Samarahan District Education Officer, and Associate Professor Dr. Halikul Lenando, Director of the Centre for Social Innovation, representing Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) as the strategic partner; Annie Liaw, Chief of INFRA; and Awang Mohamard @ Mohamad Bin Awang Ni, Deputy Samarahan District Education Officer (Student Development).

The objectives of the camp were to enhance students’ awareness and understanding of the digital world—covering key concepts such as mathematical logic, spatial visualization, and naturalistic intelligence—and their real-world applications, while also nurturing their talents and skills in digital technology and innovation. At the same time, the camp aimed to encourage students to actively participate in digital-based co-academic activities, strengthening both their competency and confidence as emerging digital learners.

The event carried the theme “Embracing National Digitization,” featuring seven hands-on mini workshops led by field experts:

3. Fundamentals of Python Programming (101) – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halikul Lenando
4. Mobile Application Development – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheah Wai Shiang
5. Ethical Social Media Management – Madam Farina Osman
6. Creative Video Development – Mr. Jonathan Sidi
7. 40 Inventive Principles for Innovation – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Halikul Lenando

These workshops were facilitated by experts from the Institute of Social Informatics and Technological Innovations (ISITI) in collaboration with specialists from the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology (FCSIT).
