The Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), accepted the invitation from SMK Penrissen Kuching to participate in enlivening the STEM Racing Padawan event held on 7 August 2025 at the SMK Penrissen Unity Hall.
The programme marked the culmination of the STEM Racing Bootcamp, aimed at providing exposure to teachers and students interested in joining STEM Racing Malaysia. Highlights of the event included a STEM talk, STEM Racing exhibitions by competition participants, and showcases from UNIMAS, Swinburne University of Technology, and the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC).
A short talk titled “Print Your Imagination: Introduction to 3D Printing” was delivered by Dr Mohd Syahmi Jamaludin as part of the programme’s activities. UNIMAS Faculty of Engineering also hosted a STEM exhibition featuring bridge replica building, 3D scanner demonstrations, and robotics demonstrations.
In addition, representatives from the UNIMAS Faculty of Engineering served as judges, assisting STEM Racing participants in refining their preparations ahead of the actual STEM Racing Malaysia competition.
