Kota Samarahan, Sarawak, 10 JULY 2025 – A blood donation drive was held at the atrium of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) on 10 July 2025. The programme was coordinated by the Postgraduate Medical Education Committee (PGMED) in collaboration with the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Blood Bank Unit.
The event recorded a total of 62 successful donors, exceeding the initial target of 50 donors. The organising team is thankful for the encouraging response from students, staff, and members of the public who participated.
In addition to the donation activity, a PGMED merchandise booth was also set up and received over 100 visitors. The booth was part of efforts to promote the committee’s activities and raise funds through the sale of official merchandise.
As a gesture of appreciation, PGMED received a token from SGH Hospital for the support provided in organising the drive. The committee is grateful for the recognition and hopes to continue contributing in a meaningful way to community health activities.
