A symphonic project themed Crafted with Care, organized by the Student Development Centre, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), under the course of MPU Credited Co-Curricular -MPU3432 Build It Yourself: The Essentials of Carpentry, MPU3472 Influencer Marketing, and MPU3482 Wellness Essentials for Kids was successfully held on 24th May 2025 at SK Dato’ Mohammad Musa, Samarahan. The project was facilitated by Mr. Muhammad Faizul Rapaee, Dr. Muhammad Wahizul Haswan Abdul Aziz, and Dr. Siti Zaleha Raduan, respectively.

The project simultaneously paved the way for STEM enthusiasm among primary students while fostering soft skill development. It also aimed to promote a healthier lifestyle for children, while giving UNIMAS students the opportunity to contribute to the community and support Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) No. 3, 7, and 8.
With a special visit from Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Al-Khalid bin Haji Othman, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni UNIMAS), the Wellness Essentials for Kids sub-core delivered basic health knowledge through various engaging activities that covered aspects of human biology and personal healthcare. These activities included making nutritious sandwiches based on the food pyramid, physical activities through telematch games, and hygiene-related practices to promote good personal hygiene, including proper dental care and effective handwashing techniques.

The Build It Yourself: The Essentials of Carpentry sub-core emphasized engineering and mathematical concepts through woodworking skills in a collaborative greenhouse-building project, which will later be used to grow herbs known for their medicinal value. This sub-core also encouraged reading habits among students by donating handcrafted bookshelves filled with pre-loved STEM books to the school. The books were provided to ignite students’ interest and enhance their understanding of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics from an early age, helping to nurture a well-rounded foundation in STEM education.
Driven by a passion for the digital world, the Influencer Marketing sub-core introduced students to foundational skills in content creation and video editing, aligned with 21st-century learning goals. To sharpen focus and improve branding knowledge, hands-on activities such as logo design and a fast-paced blind colour test were organized, sparking creativity and preparing students to think critically in the digital landscape.
