“We’re excited to be organising the Segulai Sejalai Fun Run this November. It is putting words into action where we hope this could be the wind of change for the community to foster healthy lifestyle habits. As such we target 1,000 individuals to sign up to show their support and solidarity in the fight against Diabetes.” said Dr. Simon Channing Nub, President of PGMED UNIMAS and currently a Doctor in Public Health Candidate in UNIMAS.

“We’re excited to bring the community together for this special event. The Segulai Sejalai Sehat Sarawak Fun Run is more than just a fun run—it’s an opportunity to raise awareness for a cause that affects many lives while encouraging healthy habits,” said Professor Dr. Asri bin Said, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS.

“I am proud to fully support the Segulai Sejalai Sehat Sarawak Fun Run organized by our postgraduate students. This initiative aligns with our commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering community spirit beyond academic activities. As we face rising health issues like diabetes, it is vital to encourage non-academic events that emphasize well-being. I have high hopes that this fun run will become a lasting tradition at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS, and continue inspiring healthier habits in the future.” said Professor Dr. Ahmad Hata bin Rasit, UNIMAS Vice Chancellor.
