It is with immense pride and gratitude that we announce the UNIMAS Business School (UBS) has emerged triumphant as the “Malaysia’s Best in International Mobility Programmes” at the prestigious Malaysian Education & TVET Awards (META) 2024. This remarkable achievement was unveiled during the META 2024 Ceremony, held at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on 15 August 2024. UBS received the award from YB Datuk Ts. Tuan Mustapha Sakmud, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Malaysia who graced the occasion to present awards to the winners of the different categories.
META, an annual awards program presented by ‘Education + TVET Asia,’ a publication authorised by Kementerian Dalam Negeri, is dedicated to recognising outstanding institutions and businesses within the education and vocational training industry in Malaysia. With its second edition, META has firmly established itself as a noteworthy event on the country’s education calendar, aiming to honour personalities, educational entities and businesses that have excelled in the formal education sector, including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) service providers.
The awards criteria encompass key factors such as leadership, productivity, innovativeness, sustainability, brand excellence, programme excellence, service excellence, product excellence and new start-up excellence. UBS’s recognition as Malaysia’s Best in International Mobility Programmes underscores its exceptional performance in these critical areas.
The achievement celebrated at META 2024 is a testament to the collaborative efforts of Prof Dr Puah Chin Hong, CEO of UBS, and the entire UBS team. It is also a reflection of the commitment and contribution of the students/participants who entrust UBS with their educational endeavours.
