Cyberjaya, July 29, 2024 – The exchange of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and Apadilangit, organized by Langit Kita Sdn Bhd, has taken place at the MIGHT Partnership HUB, Cyberjaya in conjunction with the launching ceremony National Space Camp 2024. This agreement marks a significant milestone in fostering collaborative efforts to advance Malaysia’s space industry.

The MoU exchange was witnessed by the Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI), YB Chang Lih Kang, whose presence underscores the government’s strong support and commitment to advancing Malaysia’s space exploration agenda.

The highly anticipated National Space Camp 2024 is set to highlight Malaysia’s Space Exploration Mission 2030. This prestigious event aims to align with the Human Capital Development in the Space Industry Strategic Plan 2030, emphasizing the nation’s commitment to advancing its space capabilities and nurturing talent in this cutting-edge field.

Organized in collaboration with the Malaysia Space Agency (MYSA) and the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), the National Space Camp 2024 will showcase Malaysia’s roadmap towards becoming a key player in space exploration.

This national collaboration programme underscores the importance of developing a robust space industry that significantly contributes to the country’s technological and economic growth.

In Sarawak, the event will be co-organized by the Faculty of Engineering, UNIMAS, and held on November 30 to December 1, 2024, and December 7 to 8, 2024, at UNIMAS.
